DUTY SISTER (DAY AND NIGHT SHIFT)

Qualification: Matric + Registered Nurse – SANC Registered
Experience: Recent Hospital.
Skills: Interpersonal, communication, ability to work under pressure, ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attributes: Well spoken, neat presentation and must be able to communicate with the elderly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE:

1. Medication
– Ensure that Resident/Patient individual medication is always available in liaison with Doctors and
– Ensure that prescribed medication is administered correctly and timeously and within the guidelines of the

– Promote sound relationships within the staff teams

3. Administrative Duties
– Daily recording of the application of each individual patient/resident nursing care plan
– Recording of doctor’s instructions
– Ensuring that medicine charts are written up correctly
– Be aware of and up to date with, all nursing practices and policies of the Company
– Check and sign off-duty and attendance registers; ensure that staff have correctly completed latter
– Ensure that special diet sheets (where applicable) are accurate and up to date
– Handling of patient complaints in the correct manner

4. Catering
– Ensures that the Catering Department is aware of all special dietary requirements and supervises the Pharmacies Nursing Scope of Practice (no: 2598 motivation/counselling/record keeping and discipline serving of all meals on the shift to ensure compliance with these. These tasks may be added to depending on the employers reasonable requirements

START DATE: ASAP
WORKING HOURS:
Day: Normal working hours are 07h00 to 19h00 Monday to Sunday and required to work an average of 16 shifts per calendar month, according to the duty roster. However, you are also required to work night shift from 19h00 to 07h00 Monday to Sunday to a minimum of 15 shifts per year, according to the duty roster. Meal break is 60 minutes. However due to the nature of the position, you are required to remain on the premises during meals breaks to be on call in case of emergencies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE:

The job incumbent will also assist in the preparation of the management accounts for the underlying entities. The job incumbent will report to the Faircare Group Accountant and will manage a team of 5 clerks (cashbook, debtors, creditors and finance).

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

– Daily review of bank file, payments, beneficiaries, POS system reports
– Assist with system issues
– Update of inventory prices
– Weekly review of bank file and debtors age analysis to manage the credit control process
– Respond to and follow up on account queries
– Manage ad hoc projects, and do analysis
– Prepare 6 monthly account sets
– Preparation and loading of bank collection and billing schedules
– Review of levy clearance certificates
– Review of rates schedules
– Constant review internal systems and controls and improve on it
– Involvement with auditors on annual financial audits of accounts
– Bi-annual staff performance appraisals and regular staff feedback and team meetings
– Ensure motivated and high performing team
