Healthcare Screenings for Faircape Group employees
At the Faircape Group, the well-being of our employees is a top priority. We acknowledge that employee well-being is influenced by productivity, morale, and overall organisational success. We continually strive to take proactive steps to support our employees’ wellness.
An initiative we have undertaken is healthcare screenings for our employees. These screenings assists in understanding and addressing common health concerns such as high blood pressure, cholesterol levels, blood sugar, and BMI (Body Mass Index).
By taking care of the well-being of our employees, we ensure we have a healthy, happy, and more engaged workforce.

Why employee wellness is important to us
Our decades of experience in a variety of industries has provided us with an understanding of the value of employee wellness. We strongly believe in having excellent people in the right positions. This is the key to our success. At Faircape, the health and wellness of employees at work is not just a feel-good trend; it’s a critical component of a company’s success. This is what makes us different.
We should never underestimate our overall health. Below, we highlight the 5 key tests of a healthcare screening. These key health indicators were assessed by Sister Angela Van Heerden, one of our Faircape Health senior registered nurses.
High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure, or hypertension, is a common health condition that affects a significant portion of the population. Left unmanaged, it can lead to serious health complications and decrease productivity.
Cholesterol Levels
Elevated cholesterol levels can increase the risk of heart disease and other cardiovascular conditions. A cholesterol screening brings to the attention that lifestyle modifications or medical interventions may be necessary.
Blood Sugar
High blood sugar levels can indicate prediabetes or diabetes, both of which can have serious consequences for individuals. Blood sugar testing at regular healthcare screenings can help employees identify if they are at risk and facilitate early intervention.

Body Mass Index (BMI)
BMI is a widely used indicator of body fat and overall health. A high BMI can be associated with various health issues, such as heart disease, diabetes, and musculoskeletal problems.
Understanding BMI screenings allows employees to assess their weight status and identify potential areas of concern.
Our commitment to empowering our employees to better understand their health is part of the Faircape Group philosophy, ‘Committed to Excellence’. Healthcare screenings not only raise awareness about potential health concerns but also provide an opportunity for early intervention and support. By providing the opportunity for our employees to have their key health indicators checked, it allows us to demonstrate our commitment to their long-term health and well-being, fostering a culture of wellness within the organisation.
The Faircape Group strives to create a positive work environment, proactively improving employee morale, productivity and employee wellness. Healthy employees are more engaged, focused, and capable of achieving both personal and professional success.
